Located spot on the border of Germany and Austria in the charming and typical village of Scharding, the Kurhaus (literally ‘cure house’) does justice to its name. An immaculate and very well kept sort of sanctuary with very peaceful surroundings; it will make you forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life from the moment you enter. The main building of the hotel is modern and well equipped with everything you would expect from this sort of establishment including a gym, a large dinning area, a library and a delightful spa. But perhaps more intriguing and impressive are its gardens facing the riverbank of the river Inn where you will find hammocks, swings, sun loungers and more to relax. Guests can be found reading, meditating or napping whilst replenishing in vitamin D and making the most of sunny intervals. Health and wellbeing transcends everything at the Kurhaus even when it comes to meal times you will be offered a selection of 4 course meals with a variety of natural and organic ingredients with the possibility of tailoring anything to meet dietary requirements or a personalized plan. Wake up to a yoga class before enjoying the hotel’s copious breakfast buffet. Treat yourself to one or all three of the medicinal technics used (Kneipp, traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda) before helping yourself to one of the hotel’s bicycles for a ride along the riverbank. Calm, serenity and spirituality (the hotel features its own communicating church) are guaranteed as part of your retreat.
