Origins

Chris and Wendy Booth fell in love with Samoa after many visits from Australia, and decided that they would turn their dreams of living in a tropical paradise into a reality. They found the perfect beach and after years of planning and overcoming hurdles, Chris, a builder with 40 years experience, and Wendy, set out to build Seabreeze Resort. It was opened in 2007 by the Prime Minister of Samoa.

The Tsunami of 2009 completely destroyed Seabreeze, but with the determination to not let down the local community, who relied heavily on the resort for employment, Seabreeze was rebuilt and reopened in 2011. Now Seabreeze is providing the ultimate Samoan luxury holiday experience for many happy guests.

The Review

As soon as you descend the cliffs to Seabreeze Resort and hear the welcome song of the staff, you’ll know you’ve discovered something truly special.

Hidden in a secluded bay on the Southeast coast of the Samoan island of Upolo, Seabreeze Resort is the ultimate rejuvenating Samoan escape.

The natural environment is everything. The resort hugs the cliffs of the bay and stretches out to the Honeymoon Villa on the eastern side and the Restaurant on the west.

The private Honeymoon Villa sits high on a rocky point, right on the water's edge with nearly 360 degree views of the rocky coastline, the sandy bay, the crystal clear coral lagoon with its idyllic little islands and the breaking waves on the reef beyond. The Honeymoon Villa boasts a private plunge pool and outdoor shower, a lovely king-size bed and all the amenities one could expect in luxury accommodation, as well as an expansive and elevated sunny balcony. Even the indoor shower has vast views of the lagoon and the breaking waves.

The relaxing resort pool borders the beach, with an in-pool bar leaner to enjoy delicious cocktails from Paulini’s Pool Bar.

When you are ready to enjoy a meal, you can't beat the experience of the Seabreeze restaurant, where you can enjoy beautiful fresh local cuisine while looking out at the lagoon and stars at night.

When you want to see more of the area, grab snorkelling gear and jump in a kayak to explore the islands dotted in the lagoon including Bat Island, and the historical church remains. And if you are lucky enough to be staying on a Friday night, treat yourself to the local Fia Fia experience. You begin by watching the traditional crafts methods and experience the Ava ceremony, then feast on traditional local food with a modern twist, and listen to the locals sing beautiful harmonies and perform traditional dances, and you get to join in yourself!
